⛱️Summer in Korea : Rainy season & Tropical night

In South Korea, the rainy season typically occurs in late June through mid-July, when warm and humid air from the Pacific Ocean collides with the cooler air from China. During this period, the country experiences heavy rainfall and high levels of humidity, which can make the weather feel uncomfortable and muggy.

Another phenomenon that occurs during the summer months in Korea is known as "tropical night." This occurs when the temperature at night does not drop below 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit) due to the high humidity in the air. As a result, nights can feel extremely warm and uncomfortable, leading to disrupted sleep and general discomfort.

While the rainy season and tropical night can be challenging to endure, they also bring a certain charm to the country. Many Koreans enjoy the sound of rain on the roof, and the lush greenery that emerges after a period of heavy rainfall can be breathtaking. In addition, the warm and humid weather during the summer months allows for the growth of crops like rice and vegetables, which are important staples in Korean cuisine.

Overall, while the rainy season and tropical night phenomenon can be challenging to cope with, they are a natural part of life in Korea and contribute to the country's unique climate and culture.
